Zaproszenie na konferencję przyjęli zagraniczni naukowcy:

Margherita Beruto is the Chair of ISHS (International Society for Horticultural Science) Division Ornamental Plants. She obtained her PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Applied Biology: Biotechnology Cellular and Genetics in 1997 from the University of Ghent (Belgium). From 2009 to 2021, Margherita Beruto was the Director of the Regional Institute for Floriculture (IRF), Sanremo, Italy, a public research institute whose mission is to support growers and plant nurseries involved in the floriculture sector, with particular attention to the achievement of novelties and with an eye towards sustainable management. She led various research units in Ornamentals (Plant pathology, Tissue culture, Breeding and Crop management). In 2013, Dr. Beruto was appointed part-time Professor at Henan University of Science and Technology, China.

Her research focused on classical and advanced micropropagation systems addressed to bringing new ornamentals into the market and using plant tissue culture in commercial production. She has undertaken studies to outline nutritional models for in vitro plant tissues through a multidisciplinary approach considering physical, chemical and biological aspects. Results were developed in close cooperation with the production world. Obtained technology enabled the development of specialized services supporting breeders and nurseries in the floriculture sector. She is a member of the editorial board of international scientific journals and has been appointed to a national panel of experts in floriculture. Dr. Beruto coordinated numerous international projects with public-private partnerships addressed to build innovation platforms in floriculture.

Sergio Ochatt is a senior scientist at INRAE (French National Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment), agronomist, PhD Botany, HDR Cell Biology, Qualified as Professor of French Universities, and an expert for the French National Agency for Food and Environmental Security (since 2021), the FAO/IAEA https://www.iaea.org/ (since 2000), and the EU (Eureka, Eurostars; since 2007), with 45 years experience in plant biotechnology. He has been a member of the scientific committee of the High Biotechnology Council of France for more than 7 years (2015-2022). He is currently Editor-in-Chief of PCTOC and Associate Editor of Nature Scientific Reports and Frontiers in Plant Science (Plant Breeding section).

Studied fruit tree and ornamental woody species until 1996, and has worked on grain legumes and medicinal species since. Some landmark team results include first plant regeneration from deciduous fruit tree protoplasts; electroporation effects on DNA synthesis and regeneration; selection and recovery of salt/drought tolerant plants; double haploids in legumes; transformants and RNAi in legumes; genotype cytological, molecular and flow cytometry characterization of in vitro regenerated and transformed tissues and plants. He is also interested in secondary metabolite production, endogenous hormones and cell physiology.
